ONE Gas also said net interest expense fell $3.8 million because of commercial paper borrowings at lower rates and Texas House Bill 4384.
Q2 revenue beats estimates as rates and customer growth support results
ONE Gas said second-quarter revenue fell year over year, but came in above analyst expectations as new rates and customer growth offset some pressure.
The US natural gas utility reported revenue of $411.64 million, above the $397.16 million consensus estimate from three analysts. Q2 net income and earnings per share increased year over year, driven by new rates and customer growth.
2026 outlook raised to upper half of guidance range
ONE Gas raised its 2026 adjusted net income outlook to the upper half of its prior $306 million-$314 million range.
The company now expects 2026 adjusted EPS in the upper half of its $4.83-$4.95 range.
It expects 2026 capital investments of about $800 million, including $230 million for customer extensions.
