Ooma Doubles Airdial Installations and Eyes Double-Digit AI Take Rate
OOMA•Ooma expanded its Airdial reseller network with over 40 partners, including T-Mobile and Comcast, driving installed lines to more than double year-over-year and adding 15,000 core business users. It aims to lift its ProPlus AI take rate to double digits and boost AI transcription revenue.
1. Airdial Implementation and Reseller Expansion
Airdial implementations are progressing well as customers switch from competitors to Ooma’s solution. The reseller network now exceeds 40 partners, including T-Mobile and Comcast, positioning Ooma to capitalize on opportunities from AT&T’s line shutdowns in the U.S. and Canada.
2. Q1 Revenue Drivers and Business User Growth
Airdial bookings and installations were the primary drivers of revenue exceeding expectations in Q1. Lines installed more than doubled year-over-year, contributing to the majority of 15,000 net core business user additions while the residential segment held steady against conservative forecasts.
3. AI Services Upsell Opportunity
Ooma’s competitively priced AI transcription and answering services are built into its ProPlus tier, where management aims to grow the take rate from single to double digits. Early adoption trends among small businesses suggest meaningful revenue potential from these AI capabilities.
4. Strategic M&A Focus
Ooma is prioritizing smaller, accretive acquisitions to expand its UCaaS offerings and achieve cost-effective scale. Past deals with FluentStream and Phone.com exemplify the company’s strategy to enhance its North American presence through targeted M&A.
