Optical Cable Q3 FY26 net income rises to $1.9 million; net sales increase 22% to $24.3 million vs year ago

Optical Cable posted fiscal third-quarter net income of $1.9 million, up from $302,000 a year earlier; earnings per share rose to $0.21.

Net sales increased 22% to $24.3 million versus the year-ago quarter, with gains across enterprise, data center and specialty markets.

Gross profit climbed 43.9% to $9.1 million; gross margin widened 5.7 percentage points to 37.4%.

Sales order backlog/forward load edged up to $13.5 million at quarter-end from $13.3 million at April 30.

CEO Neil Wilkin cited strong demand in targeted sectors, pointing to continued opportunities in domestic and international markets.
