Oracle's Project Jupiter Generates 5,500 Jobs and $416.9M New Mexico Investment
ORCL•Oracle's Project Jupiter will generate 4,000 construction and 1,500 ongoing jobs, driving $384M build-phase and $113M operational annual impact while investing $50M in water systems and $360M in local infrastructure. Bilingual outreach, open houses starting June 17, door-to-door canvassing and English- and Spanish-language ads will inform residents.
1. Expanded Community Outreach
Project Jupiter is launching bilingual engagement efforts including a community open house in Santa Teresa on June 17, door-to-door canvassing across New Mexico neighborhoods, and partnerships with local social media voices. New English- and Spanish-language advertisements will run on television, radio, digital and social platforms to explain the project’s scope and benefits.
2. Job Creation and Economic Impact
The data center project is expected to create more than 4,000 construction jobs and 1,500 permanent positions, generating approximately $384 million in annual economic impact during construction and $113 million once operational.
3. Local Investment and Environmental Plan
Oracle has committed $50 million to upgrade local water systems, $360 million toward schools, infrastructure and community services, and $6.9 million for workforce development and habitat restoration. The facility’s fuel cell power system and cooling design use non-potable water for a one-time fill and consume water at a rate equivalent to two households annually, while Oracle will cover all energy costs to shield residential rates.
