1. Findings support development
ORIC Pharmaceuticals presented preclinical and patient-sample findings at ESMO Congress 2026 supporting rinzimetostat’s potential to enhance prostate cancer sensitivity to androgen receptor inhibition. Preclinical models showed the drug retained effectiveness against a mutation linked to mevrometostat resistance, with no rinzimetostat-resistant cells emerging; samples from treated patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer showed changes consistent with increased dependence on androgen receptor signaling. The findings support broader prostate cancer development, including the ongoing Himalayas-1 Phase 3 trial.
