Oxbridge Re SurancePlus Raises $7.1M in Five Solana Tokenized Offerings
OXBR•SurancePlus closed five private tokenized reinsurance offerings on the Solana blockchain, raising $7.1 million across three HCI Re 2026 series and two 2027 participation share issuances. Oxbridge Re expects to record $13.1 million of new restricted assets and has issued 1.27 million tokenized securities, raising over $16 million to date.
1. Completion of Five Tokenized Offerings
SurancePlus completed five private placements on the Solana blockchain, generating $7.1 million in gross proceeds. The offerings included HCI Re 2026 Series A, B and C—each issuing 100,000 tokenized interests at $11.10, $22.12 and $30.01 per token with targeted annual returns of 224%, 122% and 17% respectively—and two participation share issuances (T42-2027 and T20-2027) at $10.00 per share, raising $453,357 and $328,408 respectively.
2. Balance Sheet Impact
Oxbridge Re expects to record approximately $13.1 million of new restricted assets on its consolidated balance sheet. These assets serve as collateral supporting the newly issued tokenized reinsurance securities and participation interests.
3. Platform Growth and Track Record
Since launching its tokenization platform, SurancePlus has issued approximately 1.27 million tokenized securities and raised more than $16 million in aggregate gross proceeds across four treaty years and multiple blockchain infrastructures. This growth highlights the subsidiary’s ability to originate, structure and distribute institutional-quality reinsurance investments via blockchain technology.
