Palantir steady ahead of results as AI-powered demand draws focus
PLTR•Palantir shares rose marginally ahead of its third-quarter results, due after the bell. Analysts expected revenue of $2.18 billion, up 85% year over year, and adjusted earnings per share of $0.41, compared with $0.21 a year earlier.
1. Expectations ahead of results
Investors were focused on demand for Palantir’s AI-powered analytics software ahead of its third-quarter results. Morgan Stanley said strong channel checks suggested another quarter of acceleration was within reach, while JPMorgan initiated coverage at overweight and put the stock on positive catalyst watch.
2. Forecast and analyst views
Palantir raised its annual revenue forecast for a second time in August, citing an “unrelenting and breakneck pace” of growth in its U.S. business. Morgan Stanley analyst Sanjit Singh said feedback reinforced the company’s differentiation in enterprise AI, while JPMorgan analyst Brian Essex said its platform lets enterprises and governments retain control of data, models and intellectual property.
