Palisade Bio reports 47.5% reduction in endoscopic disease activity in five-patient Crohn's trial
PALI•Palisade Bio reported a 47.5% reduction in endoscopic disease activity among five patients with fibrostenotic Crohn's disease treated for 14 days with PALI-2108. The company also reported clinical response in five ulcerative colitis patients by day seven, including remission in two.
1. Early trial findings
Palisade Bio presented early PALI-2108 findings at UEG Week 2026. Five patients with fibrostenotic Crohn's disease showed reduced intestinal inflammation and improved endoscopic disease activity during 14 days of treatment. In a separate group of five ulcerative colitis patients, all achieved clinical response by day seven and two reached clinical remission.
2. Studies underway
The Phase 2b ASCENTRA-UC trial is enrolling approximately 204 patients, and a Phase 2a Crohn's disease study is being initiated. The small, short-duration, uncontrolled studies require confirmation in larger controlled trials and do not establish durable benefit or reversal of intestinal fibrosis.
