Papaya Growth Opportunity Corp. I said its audit committee named MaloneBailey as the new independent auditor after Citrin Cooperman declined to stand for re-election as auditor, effective July 22, 2026, citing a strategic shift away from the company’s sector.
No accounting disagreements were reported with the outgoing auditor through the interim period ended Sept. 30, 2025.
Prior audit reports flagged going-concern issues and internal control weakness
The company said audit reports for 2024 and 2023 carried a going-concern emphasis, tied to the need to complete a business combination and limited working capital.
Filings also flagged a material weakness in internal control over financial reporting related to income tax accounting.
