Parsons Secures Refurbishment & Retrofit Award for 16-Tower KAFD Uplift and Mentor of Year 2026
Parsons’ EMEA team won Refurbishment and Retrofit Project of the Year for its KAFD Residential Uplift, refurbishing 16 towers and marking a Big Project Middle East Awards win. Dr. Lavinia Melilla was named Mentor of the Year 2026 after mentoring 1,000 engineers in Qatar since 2016, highlighting regional talent pipeline.
1. Award Wins at Big Project Middle East Awards
Parsons’ Europe, Middle East and Africa team received two awards at the 2026 Big Project Middle East Awards: Refurbishment and Retrofit Project of the Year and Mentor of the Year. This marks the third consecutive year Parsons has been honored by the event.
2. KAFD Residential Uplift Project Execution
The Refurbishment and Retrofit Project of the Year award recognizes Parsons’ fast-track overhaul of 16 high-rise residential towers in the King Abdullah Finance District, executed within a fully operational financial district to enhance asset quality while maintaining safety and operations.
3. Mentorship Recognition and Regional Talent Development
Dr. Lavinia Melilla was named Mentor of the Year 2026 after mentoring more than 1,000 engineers in Qatar since 2016, a program designed to support emerging professionals, strengthen delivery quality and build leadership within Parsons’ operations.
