Permit renewal triples PFNW capacity to 1.2 million gallons and authorizes treatment of 175,000 tons, supporting DFLAW program entering operational phase. Full-year backlog rose 51% to $11.9 million and international revenue surged 163% to $6.4 million, underpinning growth despite net losses.

1. Permit Renewal and Capacity Expansion

Perma-Fix renewed its Perma-Fix Northwest facility permit, tripling liquid mixed waste processing capacity to 1.2 million gallons annually and authorizing macroencapsulation of up to 175,000 tons. Investments in automation, workforce expansion and facility upgrades position the site to handle increased waste volumes as the DFLAW program transitions to full operations.

2. Backlog Growth and International Demand

The company’s treatment segment backlog climbed 51% year-over-year to $11.9 million, reflecting stronger demand for environmental remediation services. International project revenue jumped 163% to $6.4 million, driven by expanding global interest in Perma-Fix’s specialized treatment capabilities and an expanding pipeline of overseas contracts.

3. Financial Results and Future Outlook

Full-year 2025 revenue reached $61.7 million, up from $59.1 million, while Q4 revenue rose to $15.7 million on higher waste volumes. Net loss widened due to a $2.7 million remediation reserve, and management anticipates continued first-quarter operating losses before improved throughput and waste receipts drive better financial performance later in 2026.
