Perma-Pipe, Welspun sign MOU to form Jordan pipe manufacturing and coating JV
PPIH•MOU signed for Jordan pipe manufacturing and coating joint venture
Perma-Pipe signed an MOU with Welspun, Jordan’s National Water Carrier Project developers, and Jordan’s government to develop pipe manufacturing and coating facilities.
The plan calls for a joint venture to build an integrated platform in Jordan serving water infrastructure and regional oil and gas pipeline demand.
The facilities would combine Welspun’s large-diameter steel pipe manufacturing with Perma-Pipe’s anti-corrosion coating systems and engineered pipe solutions.
The parties have started technical, commercial, financing and regulatory work; investment size, ownership, capacity and timeline will be disclosed later.
