PBR• Petrobras to join diesel subsidy program
- Petrobras will join Brazil’s new diesel economic subsidy program created by Provisional Measure No. 1,391/2026.
- Finance Ministry Ordinance No. 2,813 sets a subsidy of R$ 1 per liter of road-use Grade “A” diesel for 30 days.
- The subsidy period can be extended once for another 30 days under the same terms.
- Benefits stack with an earlier diesel subsidy under Provisional Measure No. 1,363/2026 of R$ 1.12 per liter.
- Participation agreement execution hinges on publication and review of implementing regulations required under Provisional Measure No. 1,391/2026.
