Phathom begins Phase 3 trial of VOQUEZNA as-needed dosing in non-erosive GERD patients
PHAT•Phathom Pharmaceuticals began screening patients for a registrational Phase 3 trial of as-needed VOQUEZNA in non-erosive GERD. The trial plans to enroll about 500 U.S. adults, compare 10 mg VOQUEZNA with placebo over 24 weeks, and report topline results in Q1 2028.

The study aims to show rapid, sustained relief of heartburn episodes with on-demand use, supporting a potential U.S. label expansion. Earlier Phase 2 data were positive.
