Pioneer Power Solutions Q2 revenue falls on weakness in mobile EV charging segment
PPSI•Margins improve on operating efficiencies
Gross margin improved to 19.6% from 15.7% a year earlier, which the company said was driven by better operating efficiencies in sales of mobile EV charging solutions.
Pioneer also said backlog grew 32% sequentially, supported by early demand for its PRYMUS on-site power system.
Second-half outlook calls for stronger revenue
Pioneer expects second-half 2026 revenue of about $15 million, which would be more than 60% growth from the first half.
The company said benefits from cost structure streamlining should become more evident in the second half of 2026, and it anticipates additional significant PRYMUS orders amid strong market demand.
Quarterly revenue falls as mobile EV charging weakens
Pioneer Power Solutions said second-quarter 2026 revenue fell 40% year over year to $5.02 million, as decreased sales and rentals in its mobile EV charging solutions segment weighed on results.
The company posted a net loss of $2.06 million, or $0.19 per share.
