It is the third Satellite Services contract in 12 months, taking its combined national security deals with Sweden, Japan, and Germany past $500 million.

Planet Labs has agreed to deliver a suite of satellites, space-based data products and operational awareness solutions under a multi-year low nine-figure contract with the Swedish Armed Forces. The deal is designed to enhance Sweden’s real-time intelligence and monitoring capabilities for national security missions.
2. Growing National Security Contract Pipeline
This Swedish agreement marks Planet Labs’ third Satellite Services contract secured in the past 12 months, following deals with Japan’s JSAT and the German government. Together, these national security contracts push Planet Labs’ defense and security services backlog beyond $500 million, reinforcing its position in the military intelligence market.
