
PNC has commenced a phased rollout of its new Mobile Banking app to key markets, including all converted FirstBank customers, with full deployment by end of summer. Built on a microservices platform, the app offers customizable navigation, light/dark modes and supports 8 million users across 150 million monthly sessions.
PNC announced the launch of its modernized Mobile Banking app, designed to deliver a personalized, secure and high-performing experience that allows clients to manage their financial lives more efficiently on mobile devices.
The app is being introduced through a phased rollout, with initial access granted to clients in select markets—including all recently converted FirstBank customers—and full deployment scheduled by the end of summer.
The new platform is built on an agentic development system and a microservices-based architecture, enabling rapid feature updates, continuous innovation and support for upcoming embedded AI capabilities.
PNC’s existing mobile platform serves 8 million clients and handles 150 million monthly sessions, with active users up 8% year-over-year in Q1; the modernization is expected to further accelerate digital adoption.
