Polaris Fully Endows $5M Recreation Fund and Awards $200K to Seven Projects
PII•Polaris Inc. has fully endowed its $5 million Polaris Fund for Outdoor Recreation, securing perpetual financing for trail stewardship, responsible riding, and conservation across America’s National Forests. In 2026 the fund is distributing nearly $200,000 in grants to seven projects in six states, ranging from safety signage to trail restoration.
1. Endowment Milestone
Polaris Inc. established the $5 million Polaris Fund for Outdoor Recreation in 2021 and has now fully endowed it, creating a permanent source of funding. This guarantees long-term support for off-highway vehicle (OHV) trail maintenance, responsible riding education, and conservation across the National Forest System.
2. 2026 Grant Allocations
In its fifth year of grants, the fund is allocating nearly $200,000 to seven initiatives spanning Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire, Tennessee, and Vermont. Projects include speed-limit signage in Sedona, a snowmobile donation in Colorado, trail restoration in Tennessee, corridor improvements in New Hampshire, and wetland-protecting trail relocation in Vermont.
3. Long-Term Impact
With the endowment now fully funded, annual grants will continue indefinitely to enhance OHV infrastructure and promote safe, sustainable recreation. The fund’s ongoing support reinforces Polaris’s commitment to outdoor stewardship and strengthens its brand engagement with riding communities nationwide.
