Polaris Launches $9,999 RANGER 500 and Installs 8,000 m² Solar Array

Polaris launched the RANGER 500 utility side-by-side at $9,999 and eliminated 100% of detectable PFAS in Klim apparel. It installed an 8,000 m² solar array, cut 900 tons of dunnage waste, reduced GHG emissions by 10,000 metric tons and contributed $5.6 million to community programs.

1. Product Innovation

Polaris expanded powersports access by launching the RANGER 500 utility side-by-side starting at $9,999, eliminated 100% of detectable PFAS from Klim spring and fall apparel lines, and earned industry honors for innovations including the MRZR, Godfrey Sanpan and Hurricane SunDeck 3200.

2. Production Sustainability

The company installed an 8,000 square meter solar array in Goupil, now generating more than twice the facility’s annual energy needs, cut 900 tons of dunnage waste through reusable engine crates and conserved over 4 million gallons of water year over year.

3. Community and People

Polaris donated $255,000 via trail grants, raised $10,000 for multi-use public lands advocacy, invested $80,000 in S.T.E.P. scholarships for over 1,000 students from 45 schools, and delivered $5.6 million in corporate donations, grants and employee giving alongside Development Day training for 2,000+ employees.

4. Environmental Progress

Teams have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 10,000 metric tons of CO2e since 2023, achieved 80% waste diversion, driven 98% of miles with SmartWay certification and are following ISO standards to evaluate vehicle recyclability on the path to 2035 environmental goals.
