Polestar launched its largest model offensive in history by unveiling plans for four new electric vehicles set for deliveries: the Polestar 5 GT in summer 2026, a Polestar 4 variant in Q4 2026, next-generation Polestar 2 sedan in early 2027 and compact Polestar 7 SUV in 2028, targeting higher-volume segments.
2. Record Sales and Future Outlook
The company achieved record 2025 retail sales of 60,119 cars, up 34% year-over-year, including 15,608 units in Q4 (+27% YoY). It forecasts low double-digit retail volume growth in 2026 with an increasing share of Polestar 4 in the sales mix.
3. Funding and Channel Expansion
Polestar secured over $400 million through a special purpose vehicle to support a 30% expansion of its retail network. This funding is aimed at broadening customer reach and laying foundations for profitable growth and operational improvement.
