Portillo’s has introduced the Hot & Saucy Italian Beef Sandwich, its first spicier twist on the signature Italian Beef since 2020. The limited-time offering combines slow-roasted, thinly sliced beef with hot Giardiniera Peppers and a newly crafted creamy Giardiniera Sauce, all served on fresh Turano French bread through May 31.

Members of the Portillo’s Perks program who purchase the sandwich by May 31 receive a $5 discount on a subsequent purchase of $20 or more, redeemable within 14 days. New Perks sign-ups also earn a free large French fry with their first $5-plus order, designed to drive repeat visits.

With 65% of Americans expressing a taste for spicy foods and 48% of younger diners favoring spicier dishes, Portillo’s is leveraging this flavor trend to differentiate its menu. The new offering aims to capitalize on growing consumer demand for bold, heat-forward options while refreshing the brand’s core Italian Beef concept.
