As for Tuesday's market, she says: "The momentum people may be still selling but the fundamental-driven investor looks at the stock and says it's not worth buying yet. It's not a bargain for them because whatever metrics you're looking at, the stock is still too expensive."

Asked what it would take for the volatility to stop, Forrest didn't provide an answer. But she suggested that some patience might help.

"AI is real. It will be developed and used correctly to allow human beings to be more productive and maybe answer questions that it would take much, much longer for humans to answer," she said.

"But it's going to take much longer than what people want and what the major developers of AI have been promising. They thought it was going to be fun and easy, and it never is."
