Canada’s AI for All strategy launched June 4 targets $200 billion in economic growth and 250,000 new AI jobs by 2034 while raising AI adoption to 60%. Energy and natural resources are designated as priority sectors for strategic investment in compute, power and digital infrastructure.
2. PowerBank’s Strategic Positioning
On June 1, PowerBank announced AI compute infrastructure and modular data centers as a core vertical alongside its solar and battery energy storage platform. Its development pipeline exceeds one gigawatt across Canada and the United States, positioning the company to supply reliable power for hyperscale AI workloads.
3. Enterprise AI Deployments with Intellistake
Following a closed beta since November 2025, PowerBank launched a public-facing AI communications agent on April 8, 2026, and deployed an internal AI business intelligence platform in May 2026 on sovereign infrastructure powered by 100% renewables to support site identification, grant eligibility and regulatory monitoring.

PowerBank has no secured data center projects under development and is in discussions for potential opportunities. Successful execution depends on site selection, permits, construction contracts, third-party financing and sustained renewable energy incentives, which may change over time.
