PowerBank Rebrands to PBK and Secures LOI for AI Data Centers
PBK•PowerBank has relaunched its corporate website and changed its NASDAQ and Cboe Canada tickers to PBK to reflect an expanded focus on AI compute infrastructure alongside its 1GW solar and battery storage portfolio. The company has signed a non-binding LOI with Nodiac Corp. to co-locate modular data centers at its solar and BESS sites, subject to permits and financing.
1. Corporate Rebrand and Strategic Vision
PowerBank has updated its corporate brand, launching a refreshed website and unifying its trading symbol as PBK on NASDAQ and Cboe Canada. This change signals the addition of AI compute infrastructure and modular data centers as a core growth pillar alongside its renewable energy development and IPP operations.
2. LOI for Distributed AI Compute
The company has executed a non-binding Letter of Intent with Nodiac Corp. to explore deployment of modular data centers across its portfolio of over 1GW of solar and battery energy storage systems in North America. Definitive agreements will be negotiated on a site-by-site basis, conditional on technical feasibility, permitting and financing.
3. Pipeline Milestones and Market Opportunity
PowerBank’s development pipeline includes spring 2026 mobilization of nine New York solar and storage projects and the commercial operation of the SFF 06 BESS project in Ontario. Management believes co-locating AI infrastructure at these sites will leverage existing assets to meet growing demand for power-secure, cost-effective compute.
