Protiviti Earns Second U.S. Patent for AI Questionnaire Automation System
RHI•Protiviti received its second U.S. patent for an AI-driven system that automates questionnaire responses and matches data using machine learning across risk assessments and due diligence. The technology cuts manual effort, boosts consistency and compliance, and scales across vendor risk, regulatory reporting, ESG questionnaires and internal audit processes.
1. Patent Details
Protiviti was granted its second U.S. patent for its ‘Systems and Methods for Automated Data Set Matching Services’ innovation, which covers an AI-driven approach to automating questionnaire responses and data matching.
2. System Functionality
The patented system leverages machine learning to analyze, categorize and map large sets of structured and unstructured questions, then matches new queries to preapproved answers from a central library while maintaining human-in-the-loop oversight for compliance.
3. Use Cases and Benefits
Organizations can deploy the technology across vendor and supplier risk management, regulatory reporting, ESG and sustainability questionnaires, internal audits and client due diligence to reduce manual effort, improve response consistency and accelerate turnaround times.
4. Innovation Program
This milestone builds on Protiviti’s Global Patent Program launched in 2022, which encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration and AI experimentation to transform employee ideas into patented client solutions.
