PTC Launches Orbit AI Solution Integrating Six Enterprise Systems
PTC•PTC launched its cloud-native Orbit asset intelligence solution, consolidating data from PLM, ERP, CRM, IoT, EAM and FSM systems into a unified, AI-powered asset view. The platform applies AI to detect failure patterns, calculate asset health scores, forecast maintenance demand and support proactive service readiness and aftermarket revenue programs.
1. PTC Launches Orbit Asset Intelligence
On June 11, PTC introduced Orbit, a cloud-native asset intelligence solution designed to bridge the gap between the product as designed and the asset as maintained. It consolidates asset records by connecting PLM, ERP, CRM, IoT, EAM and FSM systems into a single, as-maintained view.
2. AI-Powered Lifecycle Insights
Built with an AI-first approach, Orbit surfaces fleet-level failure patterns, computes asset health scores and forecasts service and maintenance demand across accounts, regions and asset groups. The AI canvas allows users to explore data contextually, investigate issues and drive reliability and revenue campaigns without static dashboards.
3. Early Adoption and Business Impact
PTC highlighted a Southern Water deployment where Orbit prioritized high-risk sewer monitoring devices and optimized field activity for over 25% of devices previously offline. By enabling closed-loop reliability and support for aftermarket revenue programs, Orbit aims to enhance proactive service readiness and maximize asset value across manufacturing operations.
