Quantum X Labs develops Rydberg atom RF sensing for quantum atomic clock platform
QXL•Quantum X Labs announced an R&D program to develop Rydberg atom-based RF sensing and integrate it with its patent-pending quantum atomic clock platform. The combined system has not been demonstrated, and laboratory development and testing are ongoing.
1. Development program
Quantum X Labs said the effort aims to combine precision timing, frequency reference and RF sensing in an atom-based architecture for defense and aerospace applications. It builds on a previously demonstrated high-sensitivity atomic clock using the company’s Ramsey-CPT platform. The Rydberg sensing technology and integration program are separate from the pending atomic clock patent application.
