1. RTX Secures $1.03B LTAMDS Contract with U.S. Army
RTX has been awarded a $1.03 billion contract by the U.S. Army to supply its Next-Generation Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) radar. The deal, spanning several years of scheduled deliveries, strengthens RTX’s backlog in advanced air and missile defense and provides multi-year revenue visibility. LTAMDS is designed to detect and track a wide array of aerial threats at extended ranges, and this award follows successful prototype demonstrations funded by RTX. The contract includes integrated logistics support and options for additional radar units, reflecting the Army’s commitment to modernizing its layered air defense architecture and securing RTX’s position as a leading supplier in this high-growth segment.
2. RTX Commits $139 Million to Expand Singapore Aviation Hub
At the Singapore Air Show, RTX announced over $139 million in new investments with the Singapore Economic Development Board to expand capabilities across its Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney divisions. Pratt & Whitney will augment its Seletar facility with automated Fan Drive Gear System (FDGS) maintenance lines and expand coating operations in Tuas by 25 percent to support rising demand for GTF hot-section components. Collins Aerospace will broaden engine-accessory MRO capacity and establish new logistics centers to support regional carriers. These investments aim to shorten turnaround times by up to 30 percent, bolster Asia-Pacific aftermarket growth, and deepen long-term customer relationships with Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways through extended service contracts.
3. Pratt & Whitney Canada Signs 15-Year APS5000 Maintenance Agreement with Scoot
Pratt & Whitney Canada, an RTX business unit, has inked a 15-year maintenance contract with Scoot for at least 24 APS5000 auxiliary power units on its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. Valued in the low-double-digit millions annually, the agreement covers OEM-standard inspections, repairs and overhaul services designed to deliver predictable maintenance costs and maximize dispatch reliability. The APS5000, noted for producing 450 kVA of electrical power at sea level and operating up to 43,100 feet, has accumulated nearly 16 million flight hours across a 1,400-unit global fleet. This long-term contract enhances RTX’s aftermarket revenue base and supports durable cash flow from its growing installed APU fleet.
4. Collins Aerospace Deploys FOMAX Connectivity for Thai Airways A321neo Fleet
Collins Aerospace, another RTX business, secured a multi-year agreement with Thai Airways to install its FOMAX flight operations and maintenance exchanger on 32 A321neo aircraft, with full fleet deployment by 2028. As part of the GlobalConnect℠ managed services program, FOMAX will enable real-time transmission of ACARS over IP data to pilots and maintenance teams, improving predictive maintenance and reducing unscheduled downtime by up to 20 percent. With approximately 1,500 aircraft already equipped worldwide, the program is expected to generate recurring data-services revenue and strengthen RTX’s position in the fast-growing aviation connectivity market.
