Pratt & Whitney Canada, an RTX business, has inked a 15-year support agreement with Scoot covering a minimum of 24 APS5000 auxiliary power units on the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. The contract guarantees predictable maintenance costs and long maintenance intervals, leveraging Pratt & Whitney’s global network to deliver 450 kVA power at sea level and operations up to 43,100 ft. With over 1,400 APS5000 units produced and nearly 16 million flight hours logged, the agreement reinforces RTX’s aftermarket services franchise and underscores the durability and dispatch reliability of its all-electric APU technology.

2. Collins Aerospace to Deploy GlobalConnect FOMAX on 32 Thai Airways A321neo Jets

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, will roll out its GlobalConnect℠ managed services platform—including the FOMAX flight operations and maintenance exchanger and ACARS over IP technology—across Thai Airways’ 32-strong A321neo fleet by 2028. FOMAX delivers real-time health and performance data to pilots, maintenance crews and back-office systems, enhancing predictive maintenance capabilities and operational efficiency. With nearly 1,500 aircraft already equipped globally, the program strengthens RTX’s connectivity services portfolio and positions it to capture a growing slice of the digital aviation market.

4. RTX Commits $139 Million to Expand Singapore Aerospace Hub

At the Singapore Airshow, RTX announced over $139 million in investments across its Pratt & Whitney and Collins Aerospace divisions to bolster Singapore’s role as a regional center for engine MRO and high-value manufacturing. Initiatives include a new Fan Drive Gear System line at Pratt & Whitney’s Seletar facility featuring automated and AI-driven processes, a 25 percent footprint expansion of hot-section coating operations in Tuas, and multi-year service extensions covering 27 Boeing 777 aircraft—including five 777F freighters—for Singapore Airlines and new predictive MRO contracts with All Nippon Airways. These projects are expected to drive incremental revenue and support RTX’s global aftermarket growth strategy.
