RBC Capital Markets downgraded 3i Group PLC to Underperform from Sector Perform, citing mounting macroeconomic pressures and intensifying competitive headwinds that threaten returns from its flagship investment, European discount retailer Action. Analysts warned Action is entering a period of diminishing returns, raising concerns over portfolio quality and future asset performance.

Leaders in all three quadrants include Accenture, Comcast Business, GTT, Kyndryl, NTT DATA and Orange Business; Colt, HCLTech, Microland and Verizon Business lead in two quadrants each. The research highlights that companies now demand integrated management of underlay networks, cloud connectivity, software-defined networking and security to support hybrid IT, distributed workforces and AI initiatives. Sixty-five percent of surveyed enterprises cite secure access service edge (SASE) architectures as critical for protecting remote users and IoT devices, while 58% plan to deploy AI-assisted network operations for incident detection and performance optimization. Centralized orchestration is expected to reduce network outages by 30% and improve service consistency by 25%. Security and compliance drivers—including healthcare, consumer privacy and data-protection regulations—are pushing adoption of Security Service Edge (SSE) solutions. Flexible consumption models and enhanced cost transparency also rank among top priorities, with two-thirds of organizations seeking predictable, usage-based pricing to control network spend.
