Red Cat unit Blue Ops partners with Florida Atlantic to base maritime defense operations at Harbor Branch
RCAT•Blue Ops, a maritime unit of Red Cat Holdings, partnered with Florida Atlantic University’s Harbor Branch institute to establish a Fort Pierce hub for uncrewed maritime systems research, development, testing, training, maintenance and support.
1. Fort Pierce operations hub
Blue Ops plans to use the Harbor Branch site for engineering, demonstrations and evaluations related to ocean technology, maritime autonomy and national defense.
2. Research and training
The partnership includes joint research programs, workforce development, paid internships, graduate scholarships and shared access to specialized equipment.
