1. Price cuts rise
Redfin said 21.1% of U.S. active listings had asking-price cuts in the four weeks ended Sept. 20, up from 19.8% a year earlier and the highest share for that time of year since records began in 2022. Denver led major metros at 30.9%, while San Francisco had a share below 10%. The data signaled a sustained buyer’s market, with pricing power shifting earlier into initial list prices rather than later markdowns.
