Redwire invests in next-generation phased array antennas for warfighter space connectivity
RDW•Strategic investment in phased array antennas
Redwire disclosed a strategic investment to speed development and production of next-generation phased array antennas for space-based warfighter communications.
Work targets adaptable systems for LEO, MEO, GEO missions, aiming for dynamic beam steering, higher throughput, improved link reliability.
The investment builds on flight-proven RF products used on the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, including the first Link-16 communications from space in 2023.
The expansion follows a capital upgrade of RF flight electronics assembly facilities, supporting scaled manufacturing for proliferated constellation architectures.
Redwire's RF Systems unit in Longmont, Colorado supplies Tier 1 primes, and the company has delivered more than 200 flight antennas.
