1. AI-Powered Video Compression Solution

Semtech partnered with a security analytics firm to launch an end-to-cloud Video Compression system combining AI-powered compression and a 5G router. The offering reduces transmission requirements from 4–6 Mbps down to 300–500 Kbps while maintaining video quality for surveillance, traffic monitoring and critical infrastructure applications. It is available now in North America and EMEA.

2. FX86E 5G RedCap Modem for Industrial IoT

The new FX86E modem supports 5G RedCap, 4G/LTE, public and private networks, enabling plug-and-play cellular connectivity for OEMs and system integrators. It features rugged industrial specs, secure firmware updates and compatibility with CBRS and Anterix B106 spectrum. Sampling has begun ahead of its showcase at Embedded World 2026 in Nuremberg.
