U.S. Space Force awards Flatellite contract to Rocket Lab
Rocket Lab won a $397 million U.S. Space Force contract for the Space-Based Airborne Moving Target Indicator program.
Scope covers development, launch and operations of multiple Flatellite spacecraft with space-based sensors and low-latency communications.
Launches are slated for the Neutron rocket; mission operations will be conducted from secure facilities, with data products delivered to the Space Force.
The contract includes an option for additional Flatellites within the $397 million total value.
