Rockwell study shows cybersecurity risk ranks among top growth hurdles for over a third of manufacturers

Rockwell Automation published an industry report on operational resilience, citing rising cyber risk from connectivity, AI adoption and IT/OT convergence.

More than one-third of industrial manufacturers rank cybersecurity risk among the biggest external constraints on growth.

The survey found 46% suffered a cyber incident in the past year, while 90% still expect to prevent, contain or recover.

Investment remains elevated: 62% have deployed cybersecurity platforms; 45% plan AI or machine learning use in the next 12 months.

IT/OT integration points were identified as a top incident exposure; 37% expect securing IT/OT architecture to lift results within five years.
