Rogers completed a $22 million network build at BMO Field and surrounding Toronto locations, deploying equipment equivalent to 16 new cell towers. A 30-person crew logged nearly 40,000 planning and installation hours to install additional 5G+ spectrum and in-stadium wireless enhancements.

2. Event Preparation

Upgrades extend beyond the stadium to fan zones, key transit hubs including Pearson International Airport and Union Station, and select TTC subway stations. Temporary Cells on Wheels and Cells on Light Facilities will bolster network capacity and reliability during the FIFA World Cup.

3. Vancouver Enhancements

In Vancouver, Rogers is investing $5 million to enhance 5G+ coverage in key areas, notably BC Place and surrounding fan zones. These improvements aim to deliver faster speeds and lower latency for soccer fans at Vancouver venues.

4. Customer Access Benefits

Rogers 5G+ Ultimate plan customers receive Priority Network Access, ensuring front-of-line speeds even at peak periods. This service offers the first consumer-level priority access to 5G speeds in Canada.
