Roivant says JAMA Dermatology publishes Phase 3 VALOR data showing brepocitinib improves dermatomyositis skin outcomes

Roivant said JAMA Dermatology has published skin-focused Phase 3 VALOR results for brepocitinib in adult dermatomyositis.

The company said the findings had already been presented in a prior New England Journal of Medicine paper, and that this report details additional skin-specific outcomes.

Brepocitinib delivered faster, more durable improvements in skin symptoms and itch than placebo, with more patients reaching remission-level skin outcomes.

The results also supported meaningful steroid tapering, strengthening the drug’s positioning as a potential new oral option for dermatomyositis.

Safety signals were consistent with JAK inhibitors, with more serious infections on brepocitinib versus placebo in the trial.
