RTX•RTX said U.S. Army soldiers operated its optionally manned DeepFires launcher for the first time during the PCC6 exercise, using autonomous or remote-driving capability.
1. Launcher tested by soldiers
RTX showcased a DeepFires launcher prototype during the U.S. Army’s PCC6 exercise, where soldiers used the optionally manned launcher for the first time. The system integrates an autonomy kit into a new medium tactical vehicle and adds a Tomahawk cruise missile launcher; updates include 360-degree infrared cameras, and engineers are refining its capabilities based on the exercise.
