1. Revenue and earnings
Rush Enterprises said higher deliveries of new Class 8 and medium-duty trucks drove revenue and earnings growth in Q3. Revenue was $2.10 billion, compared with analyst estimates of $2.05 billion; net income was $78 million and EPS was $0.65.
2. Demand and outlook
The company said improved demand for parts, service and collision center offerings contributed to gross profit growth, especially among energy and wholesale customers. It expects aftermarket demand to gradually improve through year-end and anticipates strong new commercial vehicle sales in Q4 and early 2027, though supply constraints may affect delivery timing. Used truck and rental demand are expected to remain strong through Q4 and into early 2027.
3. Dividend
Rush Enterprises declared a quarterly dividend of $0.14 per share. The company said its Class 8 sales outpaced industry growth, driven by over-the-road customers replacing aging equipment amid stronger freight rates.
