Ryde Signs MOU with NPHVA to Represent Drivers Under Platform Workers Act

Ryde signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Private Hire Vehicles Association to recognise NPHVA as the representative for its Singapore driver-partners under the Platform Workers Act. The partnership establishes regular consultations on earnings, working conditions, dispute resolution and feedback channels to enhance driver welfare and ensure regulatory compliance.

On February 10, Ryde signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Private Hire Vehicles Association, officially recognising NPHVA as the bargaining representative for Ryde’s Singapore driver-partners under the Platform Workers Act. This step formalises NPHVA’s authority to negotiate on behalf of drivers regarding work-related matters.

2. Framework for Engagement

The agreement establishes a structured engagement framework that includes regular consultations on partner-related developments, strengthened feedback channels, and initiatives to improve safety, protection and well-being for driver-partners across the platform.
