SAB Biotherapeutics flagged fresh Phase 1 data for SAB-142 in Stage 3 type 1 diabetes, positioning it as a redosable immunotherapy.
Results will be presented in future sessions at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes meeting in Milan on Sep. 28–30, 2026.
Disclosed outcomes include early signs of preserving patients’ insulin production, supportive mechanism-of-action evidence, and a safety profile consistent with repeat dosing.
Additional readouts cover predictable drug behavior in the body, limited immune reaction risk, and early activity signals in patients with remaining beta-cell function.
The program is advancing into the registrational SAFEGUARD study, a key step toward potential approval in the company’s lead indication.
