Samsung Bioepis, Teva sign global pact for up to six biosimilar candidates
TEVA•Samsung Bioepis and Teva signed a global agreement covering development and commercialization of up to six biosimilars. Samsung Bioepis will develop, file and manufacture the candidates; Teva will commercialize them in the United States, Europe and Canada, with an option to add territories.
1. Roles and candidates
The initial confirmed candidates are SB41, referencing AstraZeneca’s Fasenra, and SB44, referencing Novartis’ Ilaris. The pact expands an existing partnership under which EPYSQLI was commercialized in the United States and OPUVIZ was added for Canada.
