Santacruz Produces 1.34M Oz Silver, Bolivar Silver Up 28% QoQ
Santacruz produced 1,341,499 ounces of silver, 21,640 tonnes of zinc, 2,686 tonnes of lead and 308 tonnes of copper in Q1 2026. Bolivar mine silver output rose 28% quarter-over-quarter to 259,635 ounces despite fewer working days.
1. Q1 2026 Production Totals
Santacruz recorded 1,341,499 ounces of silver, 21,640 tonnes of zinc, 2,686 tonnes of lead and 308 tonnes of copper in Q1 2026 across its Bolivar, Porco, Caballo Blanco, San Lucas and Zimapan operations in Bolivia and Mexico.
2. Bolivar Mine Recovery Drives Silver Gains
At Bolivar, silver output rose 28% quarter-over-quarter to 259,635 ounces despite fewer working days, driven by higher average head grades (141 g/t) and ongoing recovery of areas impacted by May 2025 flooding, while zinc and lead production were 3,656 tonnes and 198 tonnes respectively.
3. Year-Over-Year and Supplemental Trends
Compared with Q1 2025, consolidated silver production decreased 16% while zinc increased 4%, lead was broadly unchanged and copper climbed 10%; silver-equivalent output fell 38% to 2,281,465 ounces and zinc-equivalent rose 43% to 59,370 tonnes.
4. Enhanced Reporting Approach
Beginning in Q1 2026, Santacruz will emphasize actual metal production as primary metrics and present silver-equivalent and zinc-equivalent figures only as supplemental metrics to improve transparency and reflect its diversified silver-zinc co-product model.
