Santander completes EUR 5.03 billion buyback, set to cut share capital 3.08%

Santander completed its EUR 5.03 billion share buyback, acquiring 462,683,139 shares, about 3.08% of share capital.
The program ended once the maximum investment was reached; the shares are set to be cancelled to cut share capital.
The planned capital reduction totals EUR 231,341,569.5, setting share capital at EUR 7.28 billion, represented by 14,556,482,801 shares.
Buybacks since 2021 total 3,114,004,939 shares, reducing share capital by about 18% versus the start of the period.
