Shares rise after FDA approval of Isembyld
Shares of Scholar Rock SRRK.O rose 10.1% to $61 premarket after the U.S. FDA approved the company's drug Isembyld as the first muscle-targeted treatment for spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic condition that causes worsening muscle weakness.
The nod is for adults and children 2 years and older who are currently receiving therapies that target SMN2, a gene for neurons that control movement.
