SciSparc unit CliniQuantum reports 16.8-fold GPU speedup in quantum-simulated gene analysis
SPRC•SciSparc subsidiary NeuroThera Labs said majority-owned CliniQuantum completed gene-analysis simulations about 16.8 times faster on an NVIDIA T4 GPU, cutting runtime from 8.4 hours to about 0.5 hours. The test used data from 11 patients and did not assess clinical validity or utility.
1. GPU benchmark results
CliniQuantum screened 7,331,162,245 three-gene combinations using gene-expression data from 11 patients with 3,531 features. The run on an NVIDIA T4 GPU took about 0.5 hours, compared with 8.4 hours on 64 vCPUs, and produced matching qualifying gene-triplet results.
2. Test setup and next steps
The test ran on an AWS g4dn.16xlarge using IBM Qiskit Aer GPU-based simulation. CliniQuantum plans to scale to larger datasets and move from simulation toward execution on quantum computing hardware; the work did not assess clinical validity or utility.
