SEALSQ Launches Post-Quantum Roadmap with 100-Engineer ASIC Team for Automotive Security
LAES•SEALSQ Corp unveiled a roadmap to embed post-quantum cryptography into automotive silicon with TPMs, sMCUs, HSM IP, CHSMs and custom QASICs. Following its 2025 acquisition of IC’Alps’s 100 ASIC engineers, the company will leverage ISO 26262 compliance and UNECE R155 certification to address demand in connected and autonomous vehicles.
1. Strategic Automotive Expansion
SEALSQ Corp has announced an initiative to integrate post-quantum security into next-generation vehicles, addressing both current cyber threats and future quantum attacks. The roadmap targets OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers aiming to secure electrified, connected and autonomous vehicle platforms.
2. ASIC Design Capabilities
In 2025 SEALSQ acquired IC’Alps, bringing nearly 100 specialized ASIC engineers with automotive design expertise into SEALSQ ASIC Design Services. This bolstered team is set to develop custom silicon architectures embedding post-quantum cryptography from TPMs to full quantum-resistant ASICs (QASICs).
3. Product and Certification Roadmap
The company plans a suite of hardware offerings—including automotive TPMs, secure microcontrollers, HSM IP, chiplet-based HSMs and bespoke QASICs—engineered for ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155 compliance. SEALSQ’s end-to-end support spans design, production, supply-chain management and system certification.
