SRE•Sempra starts process for new LNG plant expansion
HOUSTON, Aug. 26 (Reuters) - Sempra SRE.N has started the process to construct a new LNG plant in South East Texas, a regulatory filing on Wednesday showed.
The company is proposing to build a four-train LNG plant as an expansion of its existing LNG export facility, the filing shows.
Sempra said if approved and built, the project will export up to 27 million metric tons of LNG.
If built, the project could export LNG from the second half of 2034, the filing showed.
