Semtech expands multi-year SiGe manufacturing agreement with Tower Semiconductor
TSEM•Semtech expanded a multi-year manufacturing agreement with Tower Semiconductor to secure dedicated silicon-germanium capacity for AI data center optics, with capacity allocated across fabs in the US, Israel and Japan.
1. Capacity for data center optics
The expanded agreement is intended to support demand for Semtech’s analog optical interconnect components as bandwidth scales from 800G and 1.6T toward 3.2T. Capacity will be allocated across Tower Semiconductor fabs in the US, Israel and Japan, providing supply assurance and geographic diversification.
